I would recommend Pearlman Eye to anyone who is experiencing poor vision. Dr. Pearlman is excellent, personable, reassuring and a skilled surgeon. I wore glasses my entire life. You know the really thick ones that look like the bottom of a coke bottle. My vision was so poor that I was having trouble reading the dashboard and I couldn't read the road signs. I realized I wasn't safe on the roads.

Then I saw Dr. Pearlman and was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. He noted I had severe astigmatism and though I was not a candidate for the Crystalens® procedure I could have the mono-focal intraocular lens with mono vision and astigmatism correction and I would no longer need to wear glasses. You can't imagine the restorative power of this procedure. It really is amazing. Not only is the blurriness gone, but after over 50 years of wearing glasses, I no longer wear glasses for anything. I am free! My eyes focus naturally. Once again I can drive at night; I can finally see my computer, television and dashboard all clearly.

First let me say, "I am so pleased!" I have glaucoma and I have been under Dr. Pearlman's care for years. He's a terrific doctor, very capable and personable. Several years ago he removed a cataract from my right eye and implanted a mono-focal lens. That surgery was extremely successful, but at that time the crystalens® implant was not available.

Then the vision in my left eye became cloudy and hazy. Dr. Pearlman informed me that I had a cataract and he introduced me to the crystalens®. He told me I would be able to see like I was twenty again. Near, far and everything in between, and probably without glasses! At first I thought, "Will it work, one mono-vision implant and one crystalens®?" And then, "It sure is a lot of money." Well I decided, "What the heck!"

Well, I had the crystalens® procedure and I am thrilled - it's amazing! I am free of glasses; the only glasses I wear now are non-prescription sunglasses. I can see road signs, I can read the phonebook. Everything is clear and bright and totally in focus. I am 78 years old, but because of the improvement of my vision, I feel like a young person again.

My vision was always poor. I started wearing glasses as a young child. I tried contact lenses, but my eyes rejected them. By the time I went to Dr. Pearlman I could not walk out of my house without glasses for fear of walking into walls. I wore three different pairs of glasses. A pair for when I worked at the computer, a pair for distance and a pair for reading, I was always looking for the right pair of glasses! I am the owner of a busy company, I am constantly using my eyes, and poor vision is not an option for me.
